Drawing upon more than 15 years of medical research and education materials development, Craig Gelband serves as Senior Vice President of Ogilvy CommonHealth Medical Education, where he oversees the production of promotional materials and publication plans for pharmaceutical company clients in areas such as anesthesia, psychiatry, and cardiovascular care. Beyond his professional pursuits, Craig Gelband is a passionate fan of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Miami Heat. Prior to the start of the 2018-19 regular season, the Heat signed forward Justise Winslow to a contract extension that will see him make $13 million per year through the 2021-22 season. Originally selected by the Heat with the 10th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Winslow was named to the 2015-16 All-Rookie team after averaging 6.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists through 78 games in his rookie campaign. He was limited to 18 games in the 2016-17 season, but played 68 in 2017-18 and averaged 7.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He also shot a career-high 38 percent from three-point range. An alumnus of Duke University, Winslow helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA Championship in 2015 and, in six tournament games, averaged 14.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. Moreover, he was the ACC's third highest scoring first-year player and registered the second best rebound average among all ACC freshmen.

The recipient of a PhD in pharmacology and physiology from the University of Miami, Craig Gelband has served as Senior Vice President with Ogilvy CommonHealth Medical Education since 2007. A passionate basketball fan, Craig Gelband counts the Miami Heat as his favorite National Basketball Association (NBA) team. Although the Heat have yet to sign any high-profile free agents in the 2018 offseason, the team recently agreed to two-way contracts with a pair of undrafted rookies hoping to make the team out of training camp. On July 10, Miami signed former University of Michigan guard Duncan Robinson. A native of New Castle, New Hampshire, Robinson spent the past three seasons with the Wolverines where he averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. Highly regarded for his jump-shooting ability, he also registered a 42 percent three-point field goal percentage during those three seasons. Almost three weeks later, the Heat signed former Georgia Bulldog Yante Maten to a two-way contract. The 2018 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, Maten averaged 19.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game during his senior season at Georgia and had a strong showing with Miami's Summer League team. |
