The recipient of a PhD in pharmacology and physiology from the University of Miami, Craig Gelband has served as Senior Vice President with Ogilvy CommonHealth Medical Education since 2007. A passionate basketball fan, Craig Gelband counts the Miami Heat as his favorite National Basketball Association (NBA) team. Although the Heat have yet to sign any high-profile free agents in the 2018 offseason, the team recently agreed to two-way contracts with a pair of undrafted rookies hoping to make the team out of training camp. On July 10, Miami signed former University of Michigan guard Duncan Robinson. A native of New Castle, New Hampshire, Robinson spent the past three seasons with the Wolverines where he averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. Highly regarded for his jump-shooting ability, he also registered a 42 percent three-point field goal percentage during those three seasons. Almost three weeks later, the Heat signed former Georgia Bulldog Yante Maten to a two-way contract. The 2018 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year, Maten averaged 19.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game during his senior season at Georgia and had a strong showing with Miami's Summer League team.
