An alumnus of Duke University, Craig Gelband is a pharmaceutical executive who has worked for Ogilvy CommonHealth since 2007 and was recently promoted to the position of vice president group medical director. Outside of his work responsibilities, Craig Gelband enjoys watching comedy shows; he counts Saturday Night Live (SNL) as one of his favorites.
Following the end of SNL's 42nd season on May 20, it was announced that Vanessa Bayer, Bobby Moynihan, and Sasheer Zamata wouldn't be returning for the 43rd season of the show in the fall of 2017. Bayer and Moynihan were the longest-serving female and male cast members respectively, while Zamata joined the cast in January of 2014. Bayer, who has appeared in films such as Trainwreck and Office Christmas Party, joined the cast as a featured player in 2010 and has played memorable characters such as Weekend Update meteorologist Dawn Lazarus and child actress Laura Parsons. She also performed impressions of Jennifer Aniston's Rachel character from Friends.
Moynihan spent nine seasons as a cast member on the show and portrayed pop culture figures such as Guy Fieri and politicians like Newt Gingrich and Ted Cruz. He is scheduled to star in Me, Myself, and I, a sitcom picked up by CBS. Zamata, meanwhile, is best known for portraying Michelle Obama and Star Trek's Lt. Uhura.
